Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LunarQuote collects, uses and shares information submitted through this website.

1. Information we collect

We may collect business and contact information such as company name, contact name, email address, phone number, state, industry, a broad description of how your business uses AI, and any information you voluntarily include in the message field. We may also collect ordinary technical information such as referring page, browser or device information and submission timestamps.

Lunar AI Protection waitlist. If you join the free personal AI insurance waitlist, we collect your email address, any optional phone number, state, ZIP code, concern and notes you provide, your email and optional SMS consent choices, the page you joined from, and any campaign referral parameters. Joining does not submit an insurance application or create coverage.

If you use the AI Policy Scanner, your browser extracts text from the policy PDFs you select and sends page-tagged text to LunarQuote for analysis. The raw PDF files and the complete extracted policy text are not designed to be stored by LunarQuote. We retain limited scan metadata, document names and hashes, cited policy snippets, AI Risk Passport inputs, automated findings, and scan events needed to display the report and support an optional licensed-partner handoff.

2. What we intentionally do not request here

The public lead form is not designed to collect full insurance applications, Social Security numbers, payment-card data, medical information, account passwords, detailed security credentials or other highly sensitive records. A licensed insurance professional may later request insurance-specific information through a separate process.

3. How we use information

We use information to respond to requests, operate and improve the marketplace, prevent spam or abuse, detect recent duplicate submissions, understand demand, communicate with you, and administratively route appropriate leads to licensed insurance professionals or insurance-market partners. LunarQuote may assign an internal marketplace-quality score based on submission completeness and anti-abuse signals such as disposable-email or obvious test indicators. That score is used to decide whether a marketplace request can be routed automatically or should be reviewed; it is not insurance underwriting and does not determine coverage eligibility, premium, policy terms or insurability.

For the Lunar AI Protection waitlist, we use the details you provide to understand demand, prevent abuse and duplicates, and email launch updates with your consent. We would use your phone number for launch-related texts only if you separately opt in to SMS. The product, pricing and availability are still in development.

ChatGPT and other AI-assistant integrations. When you use a supported LunarQuote AI-assistant integration, LunarQuote may process the non-sensitive business context you choose to provide, such as industry, state, AI use, and operational risk characteristics, to return informational risk topics, public marketplace-partner results, or a link back to LunarQuote. The current public ChatGPT integration does not collect contact information or submit a marketplace lead from the chat. Contact information and explicit consent are collected on LunarQuote before a marketplace request is created.

4. Sharing

When you request a coverage review, you authorize us to share the information you submit with licensed insurance agents, brokers, producers, agencies, wholesalers, MGAs, insurers or related service providers as reasonably necessary to respond to your request. If you choose to carry an AI Policy Scanner report into that request, the scan reference, cited snippets, findings and related AI Risk Passport information may be associated with the marketplace request so an eligible licensed professional has context for review. A consumer waitlist signup by itself is not a business coverage request and is not routed as a marketplace lead to licensed partners. We may use infrastructure providers for hosting, databases, analytics, security and email delivery.

5. Website analytics

We use Microsoft Clarity on public LunarQuote pages to understand how visitors navigate the site, including aggregated interaction information such as page views, clicks, scrolling, browser/device details and masked session-replay data. We intentionally exclude authenticated/private partner and administrative pages from Clarity recording. Clarity may use cookies or similar technologies according to Microsoft's service terms and privacy practices.

6. Marketplace service feedback

After a referral, we may ask whether the licensed partner contacted you or provided a quote or proposal. We use those responses to monitor marketplace service quality, investigate missed follow-up, and improve administrative routing. Feedback does not make an insurance decision or determine coverage.

7. Partner billing data

Paid partner billing, prepaid credits and Auto Reload are disabled during free early access. If paid features are offered later and a partner chooses to use them, Stripe would process payment credentials on hosted pages. LunarQuote does not store full card numbers or CVC values; it may retain Stripe identifiers and limited payment-method descriptors needed to manage a partner’s elected billing settings and historical records.

8. Partner agreement and audit records

For approved marketplace partners, LunarQuote may retain agreement and onboarding records including organization and contact information, signer name and title, authority and electronic-record consent attestations, agreement version, signing time, the signed agreement text, the applicable Commercial Schedule, cryptographic document hashes, and hashed network or device metadata used to support the integrity of the signing record. These records are used to document the commercial relationship, prevent unauthorized activation, resolve disputes, support security, and satisfy legitimate business or legal recordkeeping needs.

9. No sale of conversation data to insurers as a substitute for consent

We do not treat your submission as permission for unrelated uses. Information is shared to operate the requested referral or as otherwise disclosed here, required by law, or authorized by you.

10. Retention

We retain lead information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the marketplace, maintain business records, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations and measure referral outcomes. We retain consumer waitlist information as reasonably necessary to research a potential launch and send consented updates, subject to requests to stop updates or delete information and applicable recordkeeping needs. Signed partner agreements, Commercial Schedules, billing records and related audit records may be retained for the duration of the commercial relationship and afterward for a reasonable legal, accounting, security and dispute-resolution period. AI Policy Scanner records are currently configured with a 30-day expiration and are eligible for deletion after that period; the raw PDF files and complete extracted policy text are not designed to be retained as part of the scan record. Retention periods may change as the business and regulatory structure develop.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including token-protected access to saved policy-scan reports, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Do not submit secrets or highly sensitive records through the general lead form. Before uploading insurance documents, remove unrelated sensitive information that is not needed for the policy-language review.

12. Your choices

You may ask us to correct or delete lead or waitlist information, or stop launch updates, subject to legal, fraud-prevention and recordkeeping requirements, by contacting support@lunarquote.com. You may also ask us not to make additional marketing contact.

13. Third-party websites

Insurance professionals and carriers have their own privacy practices. This Privacy Policy does not control information you provide directly to those third parties.

14. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as the marketplace, partner network and legal structure change. Material revisions will be reflected by the updated date above.
