Business discovery: activity, action, consequence
Ask whether the customer builds, integrates, sells or simply uses AI. Identify who relies on the output, which private information is involved and whether the system can take actions. Ask for a normal workflow and one credible failure example. Clarify physical operations, regulated services and customer contractual promises rather than inferring them from a business category.
Personal discovery: concern and existing protection
Distinguish a general concern about identity theft or impersonation from an incident already in progress. Ask which existing professional, policy or recovery service the customer uses. Keep the initial conversation to necessary information. Do not promise reimbursement because an event involved AI, and do not request unnecessary identity or financial documents through ordinary email.
Record fit honestly
Use the partner workspace to keep appetite and availability current. If an opportunity is outside your verified state, customer type, product access or capability, pass with an accurate reason. Self-entered appetite does not replace LunarQuote verification. Acceptance should reflect a real ability to serve the customer under the applicable agreement and consent.
Separate education from an insurance decision
A LunarQuote risk profile is a conversation starter. Review actual applications, forms and endorsements through your normal licensed process. The NIST framework can help organize risk discussions, but it is not a coverage certification. Report contact and outcomes accurately so marketplace quality can be measured without inventing quotes or bound results.
Primary sources
Sources provide general context. The checklists and examples are LunarQuote educational material. An insurer reference does not imply a LunarQuote partnership, appointment or endorsement.
